General Guidelines

• The J! Archive should be your best friend. You will not only get a feel of how the clues are written, but can also see how a few high value clues occasionally repeat and will also learn about wagering strategies for FJ!.
• You must read this page at least once. It is written by a former champ, Karl Coryat and encapsulates everything you need to know about how to prepare.
• As you make notes, do not ignore revising them as often as possible because without adequate revision, you are wasting your time (trust me on this one). Any good flashcard software should suffice.
• Building a basic knowledge base is just the begining; once you master most of the following topics to an extent, try to write your own boards making cross-references across multiple categories.
• A quick recall is imperative on the show and you should be able to recall anything from your notes in a heartbeat while being aware that the wording of a clue will not match with how your notes are written.
• The number of topics below might seem like an overkill but in your preparation, whenever you come across something you do not know, having a category bucket to store it in is the best way to retain that information. You may condense or expand the below lists but you should have the discipline to maintain them. If you miss something that you heard about previously, you are doing something wrong.
